Arcanine
Scientific Name: Pyra Flamma dominus
Distribution: Found in areas along with large packs of Growlithe followers such as barren wasteland, abandoned buildings, volcanically active landscapes and open grasslands. They range from temperate areas to deserts and even tundra due to internal inferno-like heat source.

Evolution: Exposure to rare geographic anomalies known as fire stones in the wild or through human interaction causes a Growlithe to undergo immense change in size, strength, ability and even sensory capabilities. The stone itself is formed by similar methods to the forming of crystals such as diamonds. Firestones are the crystallized form of carbon just as it is with diamonds the structure however is different as it takes the form of a solidified flame.

Description:  An Arcanine, in appearance, is largely similar to its pre-evolution Growlithe with only minor differences in patterning and structure. Its size however is drastically different.
The average adult Arcanine reaches a height of around 6' 3" and 341lbs , around three times the height and 8 times the weight of the average Growlithe.  Another small difference from Growlithe is the presence of large cream coloured tufts of wind-swept fur behind each limb. The adult Arcanine also develops a large thick mane used to ward of rival packs and during courtship.

Behavior: Arcanine live in mated pairs which are followed by all of their Growlithe offspring and any adult female Arcanine. When a Growlithe becomes physically strong enough the parent Arcanine will take it into one of many underground caverns or mountainous locations which are known to hold Fire stones. Once evolved this Arcanine, if female, will help to hunt and care for the Growlithe of the pack and aid her mother with tasks such as feeding. If the Arcanine is male it will venture off alone in search of a rival pack to challenge. This male Arcanine will approach a rival pack and formally challenge its lead male with the hope of impressing them with his physical prowess. If he accepts they will fight violently over a period of up to an entire day. These fights often destroy entire landscapes with their intense flames and harsh physical attacks. If the challenging male is successful in subduing the rival male he will leave with one of the rival pack's, now very impressed, available females to begin their own pack. If he loses however he will either be killed in the effort or will leave injured to lick his wounds in preparation of his next challenge.

Feeding Behavior: Arcanine hunt and consume large prey items from their native environments such as Ponyta, Rapidash, Stantler, Numel and many others. They will also take smaller prey items such as Rattata, Raticate, Bidoof and so on. They have an advanced pack hunting strategy which takes advantage of their amazing speed and high impact attacks.
Older Growlithe may accompany the Arcanine on hunts but usually the carcass is carried back to the den or home area for consumption.

Abilities: Arcanine (and Growlithe) have the ability to spit flame from their mouths at will by clicking together the two iron plates found on the upper and lower jaws, and expelling methane gas from the storage bladder situated inside the chest. Being this close to flame all of the time makes it obvious that Both Arcanine and Growlithe are impervious to flame and it is said that they even get stronger when touched directly by a flame this however has not been proven. This allows them to inhabit areas that are volcanically fragile or bushfire prone without any adverse effects.
Arcanine, like their pre-evolutionary form have very keen senses particularly smell and hearing. They use these strong senses while hunting to sense their prey and communicate silently enough to not alert their targets.
